What you will enjoy doing

The Procurement & Business Development Manager Recycling division supports and implements sourcing and recycling projects at ALPLA. By doing organizational, advisory and supporting tasks regarding the corporate waste and recycling management, the Procurement & Business Development Manager Recycling division provides services to the ALPLA Recycling division with the objective of enhancing recycling purposes and strengthening the commercial and sustainable capability of ALPLA.

  • Develop and expand global sourcing strategies for PET and HDPE bales and flake

  • Identify, evaluate and onboard new partners in plastic waste collection, sorting and recycling

  • Screen international markets for recyclers, collectors, licensors and technology partners
  • Drive and coordinate closed‑loop initiatives across the ALPLA recycling network
  • Support the development of new rPET and rHDPE raw material sources in close collaboration with product development and operations
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to generate and implement innovative recycling concepts
  • Represent ALPLA Recycling at industry events, meetings and conferences
  • Support supplier qualification and supplier audits within the recycling value chain
  • Build and maintain a knowledge base on waste management, recycling technologies, and sustainability trends

What makes you great

  • Technical college or university degree or working experience
  • Knowledge regarding environmental, governmental/ societal, technical and economic relations
  • Deep understanding and experience in the field of waste management with preferred specialization or interest in plastic recycling and plastic materials
  • High personal motivation and eagerness to push recycling activities at ALPLA
  • Flexibility and travelling applicable for this job
  • English required, additional languages beneficial
