Job profile:
University Assistant with possible Qualification Agreement; Full-time (40 hours per week), Department of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law, Start: 1 March 2024 for 6 years; possibility of a qualification agreement: Main Tasks
Independent research on the level of a Habilitation in the area of Austrian civil law
Supervision and mentoring of students at bachelor, master and diploma studies level
(Co-)supervision of student theses
Teaching and grading of courses offered by the Faculty of Law in its own study programs as well as in study programs offered for other faculties
Raising and administering third-party funding
Participation in administrative tasks
Participation in third mission activities of the Faculty of Law Required Qualifications
Excellent German language skills
Completion of a doctorate (PhD) in law with a thesis on Austrian civil law that was awarded the highest possible grade (publication of the doctoral thesis is preferred)
Relevant scientific achievements after the completion of the doctorate/PhD
Scientific contributions to Austrian and/or international publications recognized in the relevant scientific community
Lectures at Austrian and/or international conferences
Research experience in central areas of Austrian civil law
Relevant professional experience at a university or with another relevant employer after the completion of the doctorate/PhD
Excellent didactic skills and university teaching experience
Relevant mobility experiences during or after the doctorate/PhD phase
Experience in working with third-party funding (application, management)
Description of a postdoc research project at the level of a Habilitation in the area of Austrian civil law
Teaching concept; Desired: submission of teaching evaluations, publication of dissertation
Social competence; Ability to work in a team
